5-year Funded PhD position in Ethics & Political Philosophy at the Université de Fribourg
Applications are invited for a funded 5-year PhD position (50%) in ethics and political philosophy at
the Université de Fribourg, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Writing a doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Ralf Bader.
- Teaching one semester-long proseminar per academic year in German.
- Supporting administrative tasks, research activities and teaching of the chair for ethics and political philosophy.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or equivalent in philosophy.
- Very good knowledge of English and German.
- PhD project in ethics or political philosophy (broadly construed).
Salary:
CHF 30,776.52 per annum in the 1st year up to CHF 36,828.02 per annum in the 5th year.
Starting date:
1st September 2024 or to be agreed.
Duration of employment:
The appointment is initially for one year (probationary period) with the possibility of extension to a
total of 5 years.
