Applications are invited for the position of a lecturer (charge de cours) in logic (2 hours per week each semester) at the Université de Fribourg, Switzerland.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in philosophy (preferably in logic, e.g. formal logic, history of logic or theory of
argumentation).
- Experiences in teaching logic and argumentation theory (formal logic, history of logic,
philosophical logic, applied logic).
- Very good knowledge of both French and German.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching the compulsory introductory course into formal logic alternating in German and
French (2 hours per week).
- Teaching the optional bilingual course “Outils formels en philosophie/Formale Hilfsmittel in
der Philosophie” each spring term (2 hours per week).
Start of employment:
1st September 2025
