Līva Rotkale is a docent at the Faculty of History and Philosophy, University of Latvia, where she also earned her PhD. Her research focuses on Aristotle, and she has significantly contributed to the Latvian translation of Aristotle’s Rhetoric. Rotkale teaches a variety of philosophy courses, with topics including metaphysics, philosophy of language, symbolic logic, argumentation, analytical aesthetics, theories of metaethics, 20th century philosophy, and ancient philosophy. Her publications include articles on Aristotle’s Metaphysics, and she has authored entries on philosophy in the Latvian National Encyclopedia.
