Reasons for Creating a Profile
Are you interested in philosophy? We invite you to create a personal profile on Philosophie.ch.
A profile allows you to share information about yourself, your work and your philosophical interest with a wider audience.
Once created, you can edit your profile at any time with your personal login. Enter some information about yourself in the text box provided.
When an article is published on the portal, you will be assigned as the author. All your articles will be linked directly to your profile. You are free to edit these articles and publish new ones. Find some more information on "how to submit an article" here.
The profile will also display all works included in our extensive bibliography to which you are assigned as author or co-author. In the future, we will enhance these author bibliographies with additional features, up to and including full-text access.
Create a Profile
In order to create a profile, please send an email to info@philosophie.ch.
When you click on the button below ("Register a Profile"), a pre-written email for this purpose will be displayed.
Forgot Your Password?
If you have forgotten your password, please write to us or press the following button:
It doesn’t matter whether you’ve forgotten your automatically generated personal password or a self-chosen one. Once we have communicated the former to you, we no longer know it.
Institutional Profiles
If you would like to announce an event in your name or in the name of an institution, you will need a so called "institutional profile" alongside your "personal" one. The institutional profile is also required for job advertisements and for "calls for papers", as well as for information sites abour your institution (see "How to Post"). If you would like an institutional profile in addition to your personal one, and you do not yet have the former (see "list of all institutional profiles"), write to us – and its best if you include the information about the event you would like to announce in the e-mail.
Possible Future Improvements
In the long term, we believe it would be highly desirable if the portal's profiles could be used by philosophical societies and associations for their member management.
We would also very much welcome collaboration with Switch, Swiss-ID, and library catalogs to develop an efficient, abuse-protected, and above all, non-profit-oriented alternative to commercial identification portals like Scopus.
